27 August 2024 – planning permission for ground floor side extension granted – WA/2024/01247

Waverley Borough Council has granted planning permission for a ground floor side extension to a very pretty end-of-terrace house on Oxted Green in Milford.  The exisiting property is extremely compact and the cliented approached Archetype Central to design an extension that would provide an entrance porch and enlarge the dining room and kitchen.

Archetype Central designed the extension and produced the application package for submission to Waverley.  In designing the extension and given the narrowness of the host plot, we needed to get imaginative with the space we designed.  We think we achieved a good balance internally and have designed ground floor space fit for modern day living.  Externally, and to further enhance the already attractive property, we have taken care to specifiy matching materials. The extension will blend seamlessly with the its host – perfect!  Waverley granted planning permissison with only two standard conditions to comply with.  This means that they were happy with the design in all respects – result!
