Waverley has granted planning permission for a ground floor rear extension to a semi-detached Victorian property in Milford, Godalming. The project enlarges the kitchen area and connects it to a new dining area. This thoughtful design enhances the home’s functionality and creates a more open atmosphere. Kitchens are a home’s central hub; by connecting it to the dining room the space has been transformed into a central hub for daily living and socialising. We designed in a set of internal double doors to lead to the snug. This emphasises the central role of the kitchen as the heart of the home.
We have maximised natural light through the placement of a rooflight, creating a light and airy environment. Double doors opening out from the kitchen to the rear garden area allow further light to flood the space.
Archetype Central produced the drawing package and submitted the application to Waverley. We also carefully selected the palette of materials to ensure that the traditional Victorian character of the property is maintained. This selection ensures that the kitchen facilitates modern living while preserving the building’s charm.
We understand how families use space. We understand how important it is to get the right design for your own home. If you are thinking about extending your home, contact Archetype Central today.
