As an architectural practice, we simply love beautiful landscapes like the South Downs National Park. We are evolving and creating imaginative solutions to blend aesthetic appeal with functional and liveable design. Our recent project in Liss presented us with a great opportunity for this. The client wanted us to design a large extension that not only increased living space but also seamlessly integrated with the property’s existing character. They were looking to achieve a flexible space that could accommodate an open plan kitchen, family and dining areas, a play room and sanitary facilities. Given the property’s location within the South Downs National Park, we needed to pay particular attention to the visual impact of the project on the nationally protected landscape. The result? An amazingly light and airy space that caters for the entire family!
Archetype Central Architectural & Planning Services produced the whole package of drawings on behalf of the the applicants and submitted it to the South Downs National Park Authority under reference SDNP/21/01733/HOUS. The application was determined by the Council Planners under delegated powers and full planning permission was granted.
