The clients approached Archetype Central for a ground floor extension in Cranleigh to create a more contemporary, open plan kitchen diner for their home. In designing this extension, we were mindful of the need to maximise the amount of natural light that could reach this important space in the house.  In order to ensure that the extension blended in with its surroundings, a white render was included to match the existing house.  We incorporated a crown top roof to mimic the pitch of the main roof so that it would appear seamlessly as part of the property.  This ground floor extension in Cranleigh was permitted development and we therefore decided to proceed with an application on this basis.
