Full width dormer window

Recently, Archetype Central Architectural & Planning Services completed an exciting project: a full width dormer extension and a reconfiguration of the main house. This architectural brief aimed to enhance both functionality and aesthetics, creating a more inviting living environment. We undertook this project taking full advantage of the property’s permitted development rights.

The new dormer extension added significant habitable space to the upper level. This design choice not only maximised the available area but also improved the overall flow of the house. By reconfiguring existing rooms, we optimised the layout, making it more user-friendly and visually appealing.

One of the standout features of this project is the vastley improved vistas created by the dormer window. The inclusion of various windows allows natural light to flood the interior while being visually appealing from the outside. With the additioin of a Juliet balcony,  the family can now enjoy a seamless connection between their indoor and outdoor spaces.  To top it all off, solar panels were installed on the roof of the dormer window.

Archetype Central prepared all drawings for submission to Waverley Borough Council.  Are you looking to achieve something similar on your home?  Contact us today to discuss the possibilities!
