Twickenham architectural services

Offering Twickenham architectural services, this was one of our favourites. Our client’s asked us to convert and extend an existing mixed use property into 4 2 bed apartments.  The existing building equired modernisation.  Archetype Central designed each unit to comply with sustainability requirements and also met the requirements of the national housing standards.  We redesigned the external private amenity space to include allocated parking and soft landscaping.  We also designed a new access and contemporary boundary walling.

The Council made it clear that as many of the existing features of the building as possible should be retained, especially as it is regarded as a building of townscape merit.  We were delighted to receive planning permission for the scheme.  The permission was subject to a number of planning conditions relating amongst other things to cycle and refuse storage, obscure glazing of windows and water consumption.  After gaining planning permission, we undertook the Building Regulations package for our clients.

Archetype Central prepared and submitted the application and all drawings to the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.  If you are considering a similar scheme but don’t know where to begin, get in touch with us to start the conversation. We’ll guide you through the process from start to finish.
