The architectural brief was to convert and extend an existing mixed use property into 4 2 bed apartments. The existing building was in need of modernisation. Produced by Archetype Central Architectural & Planning services. Each unit was designed in compliance with the current levels of sustainability and also meeting the requirements of the national housing standard. The external amenity space was re-designed with allocated parking and softscaping. A new access was designed and new contemporary boundary walling. As part of the planning process it was a requirement that as much of the existing features of the building be retained, as it is a building of townscape merit.
